Wicca:
A pagan religion with spiritual roots in the earliest expressions of reverence of nature as a manifestation of the divine. Wicca view Deity as Goddess and God; thus it is polytheistic. It also embraces the practice of Magic and accepts reincarnation. Religious festivals are held in observance of the Full Moon and other astronomical phenomena. It has no association with Satanism.
Pagan:
Among those who are not Pagans, the term refers to anyone who is not Christian, Islamic or Jewish, and may have the negative meaning of heretic. Among Pagans, the term refers to anyone who follows an earth or nature religion.
Metaphysics:
A field of abstract thought and philosophy about topics not on the concrete or physical level of understanding. This includes subjects like existence, the soul, being, the supernatural, astral travel, psychicism, and so on. |
